Sycamore Education Foundation

Virtual Take Root 2020 – September  12,  2020

Take Root is going virtual! We are gearing up once again for our largest annual fundraiser and celebration of education that supports innovative educational opportunities for Sycamore Community School District 427.  But this year it’s going to look a bit different.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, this year’s event will be more crucial than ever and feature a unique twist as we go “virtual” for the first time. The program of events will be broadcasted on Spartan TV, YouTube and Facebook Live and will feature an online silent auction, raffles, live performances and more.

“Sycamore Has Been Good To Me”

Sycamore students, parents, and alumni! A sycamore parent and SEF have teamed up to raise funds for a Sycamore Activity Tunnel by selling “Sycamore Has Been Good to Me” T-shirts and Sweatshirts. The tunnel will be used for athletics and at special events conducted by the district and community. A 2017 Sycamore graduate, Victoria Ruud, who is currently attending Kishwaukee College studying graphic design, has designed the graphics. Once the money for the tunnel has been raised, additional funding will go to SEF to help provide grant money for the teachers and students in the district.
