Give DeKalb County Day – May 7, 2020

Give DeKalb County

On May 7, 2020 donors of all ages and various interests will have the opportunity to express their generosity through Give DeKalb County, a 24-hour fundraising event. This day of giving builds community, encourages philanthropy, connects donors to nonprofits, promotes collaboration, and raises awareness of the nonprofit sector in DeKalb County.A bonus pool of funds is being raised and each donation made during Give DeKalb County is boosted by a percentage of these bonus funds. This means your donation goes even further during #GiveDeKalbCounty! Since 2014, over $2.5 million has been donated through Give DeKalb County all thanks to donor generosity.

We need your help! Please join our campaign and help the Sycamore Education Foundation reach our goal of $10,000! We need you to tell your friends and family members about the important work we do for Sycamore Community School District 427 students, teachers and staff.  Please ask them to join us in helping to make a difference.Get ready to give! On May 7th, starting at 12AM , visit givedekalbcounty.org and make a donation to us and/or to any of the great participating nonprofit organizations in DeKalb County.  Also, starting April 16 donations will be accepted by mail to accommodate donors who prefer to give by check (postmarked April 16-May 7).  You can visit givedekalbcounty.org for more information on donating by mail.

“Sycamore Has Been Good To Me”

Sycamore students, parents, and alumni! A sycamore parent and SEF have teamed up to raise funds for a Sycamore Activity Tunnel by selling “Sycamore Has Been Good to Me” T-shirts and Sweatshirts. The tunnel will be used for athletics and at special events conducted by the district and community. A 2017 Sycamore graduate, Victoria Ruud, who is currently attending Kishwaukee College studying graphic design, has designed the graphics. Once the money for the tunnel has been raised, additional funding will go to SEF to help provide grant money for the teachers and students in the district.
