The Board of Directors of the Sycamore Education Foundation (SEF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren Holtz as the organization’s first executive director. SEF is a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing and enriching educational opportunities for students in Sycamore Community School District 427.
“The idea of an executive director for the Sycamore Education Foundation has been carefully cultivated over the years and now that it has become a reality, we feel incredibly fortunate to have found Lauren Holtz to develop this position,” said Laura Gilmore, SEF Chairperson. “Lauren brings invaluable experience and will enthusiastically continue our mission. I am confident she is the right person to launch this position.”
Holtz, a Sycamore resident, and Sycamore High School graduate has nine years of experience in non-profit management specifically focused on marketing and communications. She will be the first full-time staff member for the organization. Holtz’s hiring comes as the foundation implements a plan of strategic growth over the next three years.
“It is an honor and privilege to serve as the first executive director for the Sycamore Education Foundation,” said Lauren Holtz. “I look forward to the opportunity to lead the organization to the next level and continuing to make a positive difference in the lives of Sycamore 427 students and teachers.”
Holtz has served as the Director, Marketing & Communications for the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce for the past six years. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in marketing in 2010 and a Master of Business Administration in 2013.
